The MC14584B Hex Schmitt Trigger is built in a monolithic structure using MOS P-channel and N-channel enhancement mode devices. These devices are primarily used where low power consumption and/or high noise immunity are required. The MC14584B can be used in place of the MC14069UB six-way inverter for enhanced noise immunity to slowly changing waveforms.
