The NCP1615 is a high-voltage PFC controller that drives a PFC boost stage based on an innovative current-controlled frequency foldback (CCFF) mode. In this mode, the circuit normally operates in critical conduction mode (CrM) when the inductor current exceeds the programmed value. When the current is below this preset level, the NCP1615 will decrease the frequency linearly, down to approximately a minimum of 26 kHz when the current is zero. CCFF maximizes energy efficiency at nominal and light loads. In particular, standby losses are minimized. Innovative circuitry achieves near-unity power factor even at reduced switching frequency. This product complies with the IEC60950 standard. See test reports and certificates in the Compliance Reports section below.
