Op amp/comparator

The LM324 is a low-cost, quad operational amplifier with true differential inputs. These devices offer several distinct advantages over standard op amp types in single-supply applications. The quad amplifier can operate from supply voltages as low as 3.0 V or as high as 32 V with one-fifth the quiescent current of the MC1741 (amplifier-based). The common-mode input range includes the negative supply, so external biasing components are unnecessary in many applications. The output voltage range also includes the negative supply voltage.
