Logic device/transceiver/encoder
The 74LVX4245 is a 24-pin dual-supply octal-translation transceiver intended for interfacing between a 5-V bus and a 3-V bus in a mixed 3-V/5-V supply environment such as a notebook computer with a 3.3-V CPU and a 5-V LCD display. A port is connected to 5V bus; B port is connected to 3V bus. The transmit/receive (T/Rbar) input determines the direction of data flow. Transmit (active high) enables data transfer from the A port to the B port. Receive (active low) enables data transfer from the B port to the A port. The Output Enable (OEbar) input, when high, puts both Port A and Port B in a 3-state, thereby disabling both.

The MM74HC273 edge-triggered flip-flop utilizes an advanced silicon-gate CMOS process to implement a D-type flip-flop. They feature high noise immunity, low power consumption and higher speed compared to low power Schottky TTL circuits. The device contains 8 master-slave flip-flops with common clock and common clear. Data on the D input that meets setup and hold time requirements is transferred to the Q output on a low-to-high transition of the clock input. Clearing the input low sets all outputs to the low state. Each output is capable of driving a load equivalent to 10 low-power Schottky TTLs. The MM74HC273 is functionally compatible with the 74LS273. Protect all inputs from electrostatic discharge damage by diode-connecting VCC and ground.
