The MM74HC74A is fabricated on an advanced CMOS process and operates at speeds comparable to LS-TTL parts. It has high noise immunity and low power consumption of a standard CMOS integrated circuit and can drive 10 LS-TTL loads. This flip-flop has independent data, preset, clear and clock inputs, and Q and Q# outputs. During the forward transition of the clock pulse, the logic level at the data input is transferred to the output. The preset and clear inputs are clock independent and are accomplished with a low on the appropriate input. The 74HC logic family is functionally and pin-out compatible with the standard 74LS logic family. All inputs are protected from electrostatic discharge damage by clamping internal diodes to VCC and ground.

The MC10/100EP90 is a triple ECL - LVPECL/PECL converter. The device receives a differential LVECL or ECL signal and converts it to a differential LVPECL or PECL output signal. A VBB output is provided for single-ended LVECL or ECL signals at the interface input. If a single-ended input is to be used, the VBB output should be connected to the D input. A valid signal will then drive this D input. If the VBB pin is used, it should be bypassed to ground with a 0.01 F capacitor. The VBB output is suitable as a switching reference for the EP90 in single-ended input switching conditions, so this pin only sources/sinks 0.5mA. For level translation, the EP90 requires three power rails. The VCC power supply should be connected to the positive power supply, and the VEE should be connected to the negative power supply. The 100 Series includes temperature compensation.
