Logic device/transceiver/encoder
The high-performance silicon-gate CMOS MC74HCU04A has the same pin-out as the LS04 and MC14069UB. The device inputs are compatible with standard CMOS outputs; with pull-up resistors, they are compatible with LSTTL outputs. The device consists of six single-stage inverters. These inverters are ideal for use as oscillators, pulse shapers, and in many other applications requiring high input impedance amplifiers. For digital applications, the HC04A is recommended.

The 74LVX4245 is a 24-pin dual-supply octal-translation transceiver intended for interfacing between a 5-V bus and a 3-V bus in a mixed 3-V/5-V supply environment such as a notebook computer with a 3.3-V CPU and a 5-V LCD display. A port is connected to 5V bus; B port is connected to 3V bus. The transmit/receive (T/Rbar) input determines the direction of data flow. Transmit (active high) enables data transfer from the A port to the B port. Receive (active low) enables data transfer from the B port to the A port. The Output Enable (OEbar) input, when high, puts both Port A and Port B in a 3-state, thereby disabling both.
