The high-performance silicon-gate CMOS MC74HC374A has the same pin-out as the LS374. The device inputs are compatible with standard CMOS outputs; pull-up resistors are included for compatibility with LSTTL outputs. Data that meets the setup time requirements is clocked to the output with the rising edge of the clock. The output-enable input does not affect the state of the flip-flops, but when output-enable is high, all device outputs are forced to a high-impedance state, so data can be stored even when the output is not enabled. The HC374A is functionally identical to the HC574A, which has input pins on the opposite side of the package from the output. This device is similar in function to the HC534A which has an inverted output.

The VHCT74A is an advanced high-speed CMOS dual-channel D-type flip-flop fabricated in silicon-gate CMOS technology. It achieves high-speed operation similar to the equivalent bipolar Schottky TTL while maintaining low power consumption in CMOS. The signal level applied to the D input is transferred to the Q output during the positive transition of the CK pulse. CLR and PR are independent of CK by setting the appropriate input low.
